SAM Retains IIP Champion Status

SAM Mouldings were one of the original organisations presented with the Champion Status in 2004 and we are delighted to be one of the ten organisations who retained the Champion status this year.

The Investors in People Champions programme recognises employers that have boosted the productivity of their organisation through the way they manage and develop their employees. Each has demonstrated consistent commitment to people development as a way of delivering its organisation's goals.

The aim of the Champion status is based on two key criteria:

Vision – what champions want to be

To be an inspirational network of recognised Investors in People organisations dedicated to their own continual development and committed to sharing and disseminating their experiences, to maximise learning, support continuous improvement and raise performance in others.

Mission – what champions want to do

By sharing experiences and encouraging best practice in people management and development, Champions will promote the values in Investors in People, support and guide organisations towards recognition and contribute to the development of Investors in People products and services.

Champion status is awarded on an annual basis to organisations who apply and is judged on a set of criteria. Champions are exemplary in their use of the Investors in People Standard and are encouraged to offer their support and guidance by sharing their ideas and success stories to organisations throughout the United Kingdom.

Champion status lasts for three years, after which time current Champions are invited to reapply for the status, should they wish to do so.

The award was collected by Grace McClean, HR Manager and Hugh Laverty, Financial Controller on Thursday 29th November at a gala dinner in London.
