2007
UK Business Excellence Awards. SAM is a finalist once again.
Five years after winning the coveted European Quality Award,
SAM has returned to the Excellence Awards arena with a bang
by being selected as a Finalist in the UK Business Excellence
Awards (UKBEA) 2007 and once again is the only company from
the timber industry to have reached this stage.
Richard Holmes, Logistics Controller at SAM Mouldings was
head of the submission team and is suitably content with the
nomination;
“It has been five years since we won the European
Quality Award and in that time the company has grown in size
dramatically, with many additions in personnel to service
our growing customer base.”
“We have been through the upheaval of a major change
in our computer systems, have achieved IIP Champion status
and we continue to have excellent customer and people results,
so we have not been resting on our laurels during the last
few years.”
“This nomination proves that the on-going drive and
commitment to excellence in all that we do has not been lost,
but simply applied to the now larger SAM Mouldings Family”.
The awards ceremony will take place in London during October
2007 with the winner chosen from a panel of five finalists
on the night.
